Brian Hoff serves as the Director of Corporate Innovation for Exelon Corporation. Hoff joined Exelon in 1994 and has held a variety of roles within the company. He started his career at Quad Cities Nuclear Generating Station in Engineering, Nuclear Oversight, followed by Information Technology (IT).
This set the stage for numerous enterprise wide management level positions, supporting all of Exelon’s Business Units. These positions included: Desktop and Messaging Engineering Manager; Network Engineering Manager; Operational Security Manager; and Network & Security Architect, Director of IT Strategy.
Currently, Hoff is the head of the Corporate Innovation function under Corporate Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability. His team’s mission is to solve high value business challenges with the use of emerging technology that is scalable across the enterprise; incubate and accelerate entrepreneurial
ideas for revenue growth; and establish and execute programs that drive the culture of innovation across the company.
Hoff serves on the Board of 1871, Chicago's leading home to 1000+ inventors, designers, creators, and do-ers that are building better, faster, cleaner solutions to everyday problems. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Chicago Innovation, a non-profit organization that ignites innovation opportunities across the Chicago region.
Hoff graduated from Hamilton Technical College with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, Chicago Campus. Additionally, he has completed Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management’s Global Advanced Management Program. Hoff lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife and two dogs. He has three daughters in college and enjoys reliving college life through his kids.
