John Carpenter is a turnaround leader and builder of successful business entities, with a 32-year global track record in delivering new and sustainable revenue and business models at Caterpillar.
John joined Caterpillar in 1984 and over his career held a variety of positions within the company including postings in Santiago, Chile and Singapore. In August of 2017, John retired from Caterpillar but through consulting and board advisory positions continues his passion for helping businesses with their digital transformation.
John graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984 and completed the Northwestern University-Kellogg Advanced Executive Program in 2000. He currently holds an advisory board position with Uptake. John also holds a charitable board position with the Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club and is co-director of the Sea Islands Water Wellness Mission of South Carolina.
